JIRA and Kanban – Stay Agile!
Each company dealing with project management requires products that help organize work with customers and inside the company. For Artezio, such products are Atlassian applications.
Artezio has been working with these apps for a long time, and it has helped us optimize the working process on projects, streamline the sharing of all necessary documents and ensure smooth interaction in project teams.
JIRA and Confluence are among our favorites in Atlassian:
- Confluence has allowed us to create a unified information environment where company employees can share their information
- With the help of JIRA, we have automated the main internal processes in the company as well as customer relations procedures
These products provide almost all instruments necessary for work on a project. However, a few years ago we decided to start the development of our own plug-ins that would help extend JIRA functionality, for Agile projects in particular. It refers to such components as Artezio Kanban Board for JIRA and Artezio Burndown Charts.
Artezio Kanban Board for JIRA
Kanban Board can be considered as one of the best management tools. A table consisting of several process columns and tasks cards allows visualizing the process of project production and management and helps monitor and optimize works.
Unfortunately, JIRA didn`t allow creating Kanban boards, therefore we have released a new plug-in called Artezio Kanban Board for JIRA which has perfectly fitted into our work.
The product enables the following actions:
- To present information from JIRA in the form of Kanban board
- To move tasks cards easily on the board with Drag & Drop
- To use and change various parameters of tasks cards
- To manage comments and marks, to monitor tasks cards
- To use various modes of tasks display on the board
Artezio Kanban Board for JIRA will be helpful for small teams of developers. The latest version of the product which has been recently released can be downloaded at the Atlassian Marketplace.
Artezio Burndown Charts
After the successful release of Artezio Kanban Board for JIRA, we decided to create one more plug-in which would allow us to build burndown graphics (tasks burndown charts). They are built on the basis of data on the performed tasks and tasks to be completed, and visually display the development process of Agile projects.
The end product was called Artezio Burndown Charts.
The plug-in allows building diagrams:
- For a certain filter or a project
- For any period of time
- Taking into account public holidays and weekends
- Displaying closed tasks per day
- Displaying all data based on which diagrams are built
